Many times we hear of
Father and Son projects. This one is a bit
different. The son was driving the father to build
the bike.
The 17 year old
son of Stewy's Customs owner wanted to build his first
bike. Mike Stewart had been looking at hundreds of bikes
over the years and poured through thousands of pages of
motorcycle magazines in his search for the 'perfect
bike'. There wasn't one to be found. He decided to
convince his father that it was time to build his own
bike.
There was a
rolling chassis in the shop that his dad was going to
sell. It had the general lines of what Mike was looking
for. Most of the parts for the rest of the bike
were used parts from around the shop. Mike cleaned them
up, made necessary repairs, and customized them to fit his
project bike. The end result was an amazing bike that
turns heads and draws a crowd wherever Mike takes
it. What a dream come true for a 17 year old kid.
